Welcome to the Copenhagen Vol. Fire Department Web Page
Welcome

The Copenhagen Fire Department was formed in 1889 to protect the citizens and property of the Village of Copenhagen.  The department has grown over the years to protect not only the Village of Copenhagen, but also portions of the Towns of Denmark, Harrisburg, Champion, and the Town of Pinckney.  The department became an incorporated entity under New York State Law in 1953.

Fire Safety

Be Careful Cooking

Keep cooking areas clear of combustibles, and don't leave cooking unattended. Keep your pot's handles turned inward so children won't knock or pull them over the edge of the stove. If grease catches fire, carefully slide a lid over the pan to smother the flames, then turn off the burner.
